Del Monte truck hijacked in Bulacan

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga Six unidentified armed men hijacked on Friday a delivery truck loaded with assorted Del Monte products worth P.9 million in Barangay Pandayan, Meycauayan, Bulacan.
A report received here by Sr. Supt. Conrado Briton, officer-in-charge (OIC) of Central Luzon police office said that an Isuzu Butterfly cargo truck with license plate number USA-599, driven by Al Rioanda, 27, was forcibly taken by the suspects armed with long firearms.
The victims were later dumped in a secluded area in Sta. Maria, Bulacan where they reported the incident to police authorities.
The cargo truck was on its way to deliver the items to Angeles City when it was hijacked by the suspects, police said.
Recently, a 10-wheeler truck was also hijacked in Barangay Aguso, Tarlac City by five armed men.
The truck, loaded with boxes of matches and mosquito katol worth P.7 million, was enroute to San Fernando, La Union when it was hijacked. Ric Sapnu
