GenSan blast wounds 2

GENERAL SANTOS CITY — Two vendors at the city’s public market were wounded when an unidentified man, aboard a tricycle, lobbed a grenade at the sidewalk yesterday.

The blast came days after a text message circulated here, warning that a bomb would explode in time for the visit of Armed Forces chief Gen. Roy Cimatu.

"The public should not panic," said Senior Superintendent Bartolome Baluyot, regional police chief. — John Paul Jubelag
