Boy rescued from ma’s partner

-
MALOLOS, Bulacan — Police have rescued a toddler abducted by his mother’s live-in partner in Norzagaray town last Sunday.

Acting on the report of Valerie Galvez, 19, mother of two-year-old Eduardo, police swooped down on the hideout of suspect Sergio Enriquez Jr. in Sitio Sentinela, Barangay Pulong Yantok in Angat town.

Galvez told probers that Enriquez had demanded P10,000 in exchange for her son’s release.

As the policemen approached Enriquez’s hideout, he hurled stones at them and later grabbed a bolo and threatened to kill the boy.

The law enforcers, however, managed to convince Enriquez to free the toddler and surrender. He is now detained at the Angat jail. — James Mananghaya, Ric Sapnu
