‘Double dead’ hogs’ meat seized in Bulacan

GUIGUINTO, Bulacan – At least 700 kilos "double dead" hog meat were confiscated by joint elements of police and the municipal veterinarian from a meat dealer in Barangay Poblacion in this town the other day.

PO1 Darly de Leon and Dr. Georgette Dionisio, municipal veterinarian, identified the suspect as Salvador Ibardaloza, 44, a meat dealer of Manalac st, Barangay Poblacion, this town.

Ibardaloza said he gets the double-dead meat from a certain Romy de Jesus of Sta. Rosa, Laguna. He said he buys the meat for P30 per kilo and sells it for P35 per kilo at the Blumentritt Market in Manila. – James Mananghaya, Ric Sapnu
