SAN FERNANDO CITY, Pampanga A team of experts from the Department of Healths regional office found no radiation at the provincial office of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) here which could explain the unusual illnesses which the latters employees have been experiencing.
Health Undersecretary Epifanio Lacap earlier advised the DTI employees to move out of their present office at the ABN building, which stands beside a sub-station of the San Fernando Electric Co.s power plant in Barangay Del Rosario, pending the results of the study by DOH experts.
Since the provincial DTI office transferred to the building in February last year, several employees have been afflicted with unusual ailments.
An employee gave birth to a baby without a skull, while another had a virus in the cornea of both eyes, which an ophthalmologist described as a "one in a million" case. Others suffered from kidney disorders and high blood pressure. Ding Cervantes
