PAFFS alumni reunion
May 10, 2002 | 12:00am
A long blue line of outstanding aviators is meeting and converging on the hallowed grounds of the Fernando Air Base in Lipa City, home of the Air Education and Training Command (AETC), tomorrow for the 19th annual homecoming of the Philippine Air Force Flying School Alumni Association Inc. (PAFFSAAI).
Rep. Prospero Pichay Jr., chairman of the House committee on defense, will be the guest of honor, with Air Force chief Lt. Gen. Benjamin Defensor Jr. as special guest.
Staged annually at the grounds of Fernando Air Base, the event is the "pilgrimage" of all PAFFS alumni pilots in the active service, retired PAF officers and pilots in commercial aviation and their families.
The event was delayed due to the Armed Forces intensified operations, as its holding was deemed inappropriate considering that most of the operations in the field involved many pilots.
