Rule on coco levy case, Sandigan told

The Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG) has filed a motion asking the Sandiganbayan to decide on the ownership of the coco levy shares at the United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB).
PCGG Commissioner Ruben Carranza Jr. said the motion for partial summary judgment was filed after the defense and prosecution panels agreed during a hearing that there was no longer any need to present evidence in the case.
Last Dec. l4, the Supreme Court declared that the coco levy funds were "prima facie public funds," as it upheld the rights of the government, through the PCGG, to vote on the sequestered shares of the UCPB. Sheila Crisostomo
