Abducted ‘Japino’ boy found dead in Bulacan

- Jaime Laude -
A six-year-old Japanese-Filipino boy, snatched by five men who broke into their home in Sta. Rosa, Laguna last April 15, was found dead in Norzagaray, Bulacan the other day.

Police exhumed the body of Takeshi Adachi at the Norzagaray public cemetery where local folk buried it after discovering it in a deep ravine in Barangay Bigti last April 19.

The remains were identified by the boy’s mother, Ma. Teresa Adachi. Five ski mask-wearing men broke into the Adachi residence in an upscale subdivision in Laguna on the night of April 15, killing the boy’s aunt Nancy and their family driver, Nelson Aglahi.

The men spared Mrs. Adachi but fled with her son aboard the family’s Toyota Revo. They demanded a P5-million ransom.

Police said they have identified at least two suspects in the crime.

In another development, police arrested the Japanese owner of a television station in Sorsogon City, Sorsogon for allegedly masterminding the abduction of his Filipina wife late last year.

A belated report reaching Camp Crame said Yasunuri Takahashi, owner and manager of the local SITV station, was arrested on the strength of a court-issued warrant on charges of kidnapping, serious illegal detention and rape which his wife Annabelle has filed against him.

Police said Takahashi planned his wife’s abduction to be able to live with another woman.

In her affidavit, Annabelle said five men seized her aboard a passenger jeepney in Pilar, Sorsogon last Dec. 29.

She said she was taken to a safehouse in Bulacan where her husband later showed up and threatened to kill her. She said he merely watched as her abductors raped her.

After three months in captivity, she said an elderly woman helped her escape.
