About P3.4-million worth of shabu were seized by the National Anti-Drug Task Force (NADTF) from three alleged drug pushers, including two Taiwanese, during two separate drug bust operations in Laguna and Bulacan early this week.
NATDF-Northern Luzon Task Group head Superintendent Pepito Domantay said the operations were part of the task forces mission to enhance the governments drug control efforts and to reduce the supply of illegal drugs.
The arrested Taiwanese nationals were identified as Chua Che Ket alias Jose Cruz and Chua O Huan alias Ver Robert Chua. They were nabbed during an operation in Marilao, Bulacan Monday wherein the police seized a kilo of shabu.
Appropriate charges for violation of the Dangerous Drugs Law were filed against the two foreigners.
Prior to this operations, police operatives also pounced on Guillermo Villanueva in San Antonio, Los Baños, Laguna that resulted in the seizure of 400 grams of shabu. At least eight suspected drug pushers were nabbed while about 283 grams of shabu were recovered by the NATDF since its activation last month.
"As far as combating illegal drugs is concerned, there is still a lot of drug traffickers to arrest and a huge amount of illegal drugs to confiscate. We will not cease until we attain our vision of a drug-free Philippines," Domantay said. Christina Mendez
