Bomb found in Baguio bazaar

BAGUIO CITY City authorities hastily called a meeting yesterday to discuss beefed-up security measures hours after an improvised bomb was found at a popular bazaar here.
The bomb, weighing over a kilo, was found at 1 p.m. at the shoppers baggage counter of the old Tiongsan Bazaar along the busy Magsaysay Road, less than a kilometer from City Hall and the police headquarters.
SPO3 William Barroga, bomb squad chief of the city police, said the bomb, wrapped in tetra pack, was timed to explode at either 3 p.m. or at dawn.
Security chiefs and managers of city establishments, vital installations and firms at the export processing zone attended the meeting. Artemio Dumlao
