Southcom soldier slain

The highest ranking enlisted man of the military’s Southern Command was shot dead by a drunken subordinate in Zamboanga City on Christmas Eve, a report to Camp Aguinaldo said.

The report said Chief M/Sgt. Robert Aniban, the Southcom’s sergeant major — who acted as the representative of all enlisted personnel in the command — was gunned down, for no apparent reason, by T/Sgt. Damsari Pajari.

Pajari is now under the custody of the military police. — Paolo Romero
