FPPCP summit on today

Top officials of Aklan province will receive today hundreds of media practitioners from across the nation to formally kick-off the four-day 1st National Media Summit of the Federation of Provincial Press Clubs of the Philippines (FPPCP) in the beautiful island of Boracay.
Gov. Joeben Miraflores, Rep. Gabrielle Calizo and Malay town Mayor Ceceron "Dodong" Cawaling will lead Aklanons in welcoming summit delegates headed by FPPCP president Bernie Miaque, publisher of the Western Visayas Daily Informer. This will be followed by an exchange of fraternal messages among press club presidents and other prestigious press groups like the College Editors Guild of the Philippines, Foreign Correspondents Association of the Philippines, Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster sa Pilipinas, Manila Overseas Press Club, National Press Club, National Union of Journalists of the Philippines , Newsguild of the Philippines (Newsguild) and Philippine Press Institute (PPI).
