NGO urges regular PAL flights to Clark airport

The government call for the Philippine Airlines to schedule regular flights to the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) gained support from a business-based non-government organization, which claims that the national flag carrier should lead the efforts in inviting attention to Clark in Pampanga.

The Protect Filipino Movement (ProFil) said urging PAL to take notice of Clark could not have come at a more appropriate time considering that the MIA-NAIA Service Operators Association, of which PAL is a member, is asking the government to stop construction of the NAIA Terminal 3 and calling instead for the development of DMIA.

"The NAIA (Ninoy Aquino International Airport) is being refurbished as a real international airport in class with other leading international airports in the world. The government invited private sector participation in the development of the world-class terminal, showcasing the beauty of the country," said Virgilio Ilagan, executive director of ProFil.
