Mandaue lending firm robbed

CEBU — Four armed men barged into a lending firm in Mandaue City the other day and carted away P40,000 cash, jewelry and cellular phones worth P15,000, police said.

Mandaue station 1 police chief Teofilo Siclot said one of the robbers posed as a customer of Norkis Lending Investors Inc. and approached cashier Edileth Villamor. His accomplices then barged into the establishment and at gunpoint, announced a holdup.

Two of the robbers reportedly ordered the manager, Eminito Jadraque, and collector Rolendes Bagnol, to lie face down on the floor, while a third one stayed at the door and acted as lookout.

After scooping P40,000 cash from the cashier, they then divested the employees of jewelry and cell phones. They escaped aboard a Daewoo taxi with license plate GLC 729. Freeman News Service
