Chen Chen Ko, an influential businessman with investments in several businesses in this town was nabbed last July 31 by joint forces of CIDG and 300th Air Intelligence of the Philippine Air Force.
An intelligence agent of the Philippine Air Force, A2C Ramon Frias, reported that his neighbor in Silang, Cavite, Luz Olivas asked for assistance for the arrest of the Taiwanese who allegedly raped three times her cousin "Sonia" (not her real name), 18, housemaid of the suspect at 633 Bldg. 18, Bankhouse, Old Bulihan, Silang Cavite. "Sonia" said the first rape incident happened on July 24 and the latest on July 27 where she was raped in front of the suspect’s wife.
According to PO1 Eric Dollete, officer on case detailed at the Southern Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig, Metro Manila, he received a telephone call from Frias of 300th, SOS, PAF, Villamor Airbase , Pasay City in the morning of July 27 asking for police assistance.
Frias claimed that the suspect was an illegal alien as verified from the Alien Registration Division of the Bureau of Immigration.
For fear of partiality by the local police of Silang because of the suspect’s influence and highly placed connections, the complainants sought the CIDG’s assistance, according to Dollete. SCIDT-CIDG chief Superintendent Bayani Reyes, acting on said report, ordered the combined elements of SCIDT-CIDG and 300th Air Intelligence and Security Group (PAF) to proceed to the said area for the immediate arrest of the suspect.
On July 31 at around 12 noon the tandem of PNP and PAF elements arrested the surprised suspect.
In a confrontation, the victim positively identified Ko as the one who raped her three times, the last time in front of the suspect’s wife inside their bedroom.
