Police said they now have a suspect, a certain Ramil Piloto, 23, a construction worker who allegedly wanted to get even with his long-time enemy and half-cousin Alexander Cumad, 20, who was among those injured in the blast.
Piloto was allegedly upset upon learning that his sister was getting involved with Cumad, and decided to go after him.
The suspect, who is still at large, allegedly also ran errands on the side for a local druglord.
Two victims are in critical condition at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City.
PO3 Godofredo Bondad said investigators are trying to ascertain if Cumad was really involved with Pilotos sister since the two have been known to be long-time enemies.
Police found in the blast scene the pin and safety lever of the grenade, which left a crater in the ground about a foot in diameter.
Shrapnel was also found embedded in portions of the community stage and in trees. Freeman News Service
