Two missing passengers of a ferry which sank in Tablas Strait off Romblon last Wednesday have been found alive, the Coast Guard said yesterday.
The two were identified as Lara Fetalbero, 20, who was found by a fisherman clinging to a floating bamboo pole off Libagao island; and Renelyn Fanoga, 17, who was rescued off Caluya island.
Meanwhile, the body of Norma Fabunan, 56, of Concepcion, Romblon, has been retrieved, the Coast Guard said.
Of 45 people aboard M/BCA Seagold, 30 have been rescued. Survivors said a vice mayoral bet was trapped in the ferry after helping the passengers, mostly teenage students, disembark.  Sandy Araneta
