CEBU  The battle lines have finally been drawn, with the newly registered Alayon party formally fielding Vice Gov. Fernando Celeste for governor, and provincial board member John Henry Gregory Osmeña, son of Sen. John "Sonny" Osmeña, as his running mate.
Celeste and John-John Osmeña filed their certificates of candidacy with the provincial Commission on Elections office the other day, putting to rest questions on who Alayon would be fielding against incumbent Gov. Pablo Garcia.
Meanwhile, second district Rep. Simeon Kintanar said he is running for re-election under Alayon, and so is re-electionist provincial board member Antonio Almirante.
Another Alayon aspirant is Argao Vice Mayor Daniel Sesaldo who said he will be seeking a seat in the provincial board.
Rep. Antonio Yapha is also seeking re-election while his wife, Estrella, is eyeing a seat in the provincial board.  Freeman News Service
