Arroyo to take part in Manaoag pilgrimage

-
DAGUPAN CITY – President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will lead thousands of Pangasinenses who will troop today to the miraculous town of Manaoag for a thanksgiving pilgrimage for the successful transition in government.

Msgr. Oscar Cruz, head of the Lingayen-Dagupan Archdiocese and chairman of the Erap Agco La! (Enough of Erap) Movement which initiated anti-Estrada rallies in the province, called on the Catholic faithful to join them in prayer "for a new beginning, a better future and a good government."

The Manaoag pilgrims will assemble in three points: the Laoac-Pozorrubio junction; Barangay Nalsian in Manaoag; and Santa Maria town.

Mrs. Arroyo, whose mother Eva hails from Binalonan town, last visited the province last Dec. 26 to attend the birthday celebration of former House Speaker Jose de Venecia. — Eva de Leon, Cesar Ramirez
