BACOLOD CITY The Regional Trial Court of Negros Occidental has sentenced a Talisay resident to 240 years in prison for the repeated rape of his three minor daughters.
Wilfredo Caspile Natal was sentenced by Judge Emma Labayen to eight counts of reclusion perpetua, or 30 years imprisonment for each count for a total of 240 years.
Natal was found guilty beyond reasonable doubt of raping his 15, 13 and 12-year-old daughters from 1986 to 1991.
Their mother has been working in Singapore since May 6, 1991.
The 15-year-old daughter testified that in 1991 her father raped her several times in their one-room house where she and her three other sisters sleep.
She testified that her father sexually abused her 10 times but she can only remember the exact dates of three occasions when she was raped. The victim said she kept asking her father to stop molesting her because she was his daughter but he would not listen.
Before her mother left for Singapore, the girl said she told her about the rape but she would not believe her, she added. Antonieta Lopez
