Agarao slay suspect flees

The alleged assassin of the husband of anti-crime crusader Carina Agarao bolted the Laguna provincial jail under mysterious circumstances the other night, police said.

Chief Superintendent Lucas Managuelod, Southern Tagalog police director, immediately ordered SPO1 Joselito Savedoria and PO3 Rolando Sobrepeña, who were on duty when suspect Luisito San Juan escaped, charged in court for infidelity in the custody of a detained person.

San Juan was arrested recently in Pagsanjan, Laguna, and confessed to have had a direct hand in the killing of human rights lawyer Clarence Agarao.
