SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga The New Peoples Army (NPA) condemned yesterday the killing of a 24-year-old man whom its rival, the Rebolusyonaryong Hukbo ng Bayan (RHB), admitted executing in Mexico town last Saturday.
In a statement, Jose Agtalon, spokesman of the NPAs Josepino Corpuz Command, said the victim, Eric Canlas, was not an NPA member, but a volunteer of the Department of Social Welfare and Development and an officer of the Pampanga Radio Communications Club.
Last Sunday, the RHB admitted it was responsible for Canlas death, saying the Bartolome Quizon Command Unit had imposed the death penalty on him. Ding Cervantes
