The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board suspended for 30 days the franchise of a Davao City-based bus firm whose unit figured in an accident on Christmas Day which killed 32 passengers and wounded 31 others.
LTFRB chairman Dante Lantin said the suspension order covers 10 buses of Weena Express Inc. and will be made permanent if the firm fails to show proof that it has given "adequate assistance" to the victims.
