DAGUPAN CITY Anti-Erap rallyists fear a crackdown against them by pro-administration law enforcers if President Estrada is acquitted in the impeachment trial.
Teddy Casino, secretary-general of Bayan, told local newsmen that they had received reports that there is now a list of persons targeted allegedly by the combined forces of President Estrada and Panfilo Lacson, the Philippine National Police chief.
Casino added that their countdown for the President to step down from Wednesday until today to add more pressure on the Chief Executive is in preparation for a bigger action for what they call the first quarter storm.
"Its a miracle if he steps down by Dec. 31 so parang symbolic lang yon," he said but added, Baka naman makonsensiya siya o mapressure magresign." Eva de Leon
