Security guard Tomas Gonzales said he had just finished taking supper at about 8 p.m. when the five men, clad in camouflage uniforms and armed with M-16 rifles, accosted him, saying they were military men tasked to inspect the cellsite.
But a fifth man later appeared and entered the electronics room. An explosion followed, and the men admitted they were NPA rebels.
Police, however, doubted Gonzales’ story, wondering why the armed men, if indeed they were rebels, did not attack nearby cellsites of other companies.  Freeman News Service
