Tarlac Vice Gov. Herminio Aquino, provincial chairman of the opposition Lakas-NUCD and one of the convenors of the "Resign Erap! Sigaw ng mga Tarlaqueño," urged anti-Estrada forces to do this as he described Tues-day’s mass actions in his province as a "great success."
Starting next week, Aquino said more anti-Estrada demonstrations will be held in Tarlac, home-province of former President Corazon Aquino, who, along with Jaime Cardinal Sin, is leading the oust-Estrada movement.
"We cannot entirely rely on the Senate proceedings of the impeachment case against the President. With all the maneuverings and dirty tactics now taking place in the national level, it is imperative that the people must force him (Mr. Estrada) to resign," Vice Gov. Aquino said.
He said demonstrations in Tarlac will escalate starting next week, and a bigger mass action will be held on Nov. 27 to mark the birthday of martyred Sen. Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr., to be led by Lakas-NUCD and Kabalikat ng Malayang Pilipino (Kampi).

• Officers of the 400-strong League of Municipal Mayors in Mindanao kicked off yesterday their island-wide campaign for calm and sobriety in the midst of mounting protests against the Estrada government.
• Bohol Rep. Ernesto Herrera announced yesterday the resignation of all incumbent elected officials in his province from the administration’s Lapian ng Masang Pilipino.
Herrera said those who bolted LAMP were Reps. Erico Aumen-tado and Eladio Jala, of the second and third districts, respectively, Gov. Rene Relampagos, Vice Gov. Edgardo Chatto, the mayors of Tagbilaran City and Bohol’s 47 towns and all their councilors.  Benjie Villa and Edith Regalado
