Noynoy to run for Senate?

TARLAC CITY President Estrada has "initially" convinced Rep. Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III of the provinces second district, to run for senator under the administrations Lapian ng Masang Pilipino (LAMP), reliable sources here said.
The sources added that Mr. Estrada talked with former President Corazon Aquino last week regarding her sons bid for the Senate.
Noynoy belongs to the Liberal Party which has joined the LAMP alliance, along with the Partido ng Masang Pilipino, Laban ng Demokratikong Pilipino and Nationalist Peoples Coalition.
Last week, sources said Noynoy met with Tarlac City councilors Rivo Nisce, Arsenio Lugay II and Miguel Tañedo to "settle their differences."
Noynoy, the sources said, asked the three councilors to decide among themselves on who would seek the second districts congressional seat as well as this citys mayoral and vice mayoral positions.
