Rachelle Ann to celebrate 10th year via concert; readies for ‘Miss Saigon’

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines- Rachelle Ann Go is preparing for her big concert this February.

The concert is her celebration of 10 years in the industry.

“Gusto ko i-share sa mga tao ‘yong journey ko sa 10 taon ko dito sa industriya,” she said in an interview with Aubrey Carampel which aired in “24 Oras” Wednesday night, January 8.

The musical play that the Kapuso talent refers to is the revival of “Miss Saigon” in London. She was chosen to play the role of Gigi, which she says is a “sexy role.”

Since it’s a sexy role, Rachelle wants to condition her body.

“Workout talaga para pagdating do’n hindi ako hingalin,” she said. Dance class, jazz, voice lessons.”

Besides these preparations, she was able to talk to Isay Alvarez and Jinky Llamanzares, who both played the role of Gigi, and to Lea Salonga who played the role of Kim.

Rachelle is set to leave for London first week of March for the rehearsals of “Miss Saigon” which will begin staging on May 3, at Prince Edward Theatre in London.
