MANILA, Philippines — Rap icon Gloc-9 teamed up with reggae band Chocolate Factory on the powerful and sentimental song “Paglipad.”
In this single, the band’s signature jazz-infused reggae sound is toned down to showcase their darker, rock flow to match the poignant yet motivating lyrics that accompany the track.
“Paglipad” tells a story reminiscent of eight-weight-division boxing world champion Manny Pacquiao’s life, his struggles and rise to success. The song is a reminder of pushing forward through all obstacles, eventually turning adversity to advantage.
Integrating classic rock and groovy instrumentation with jazz and blues roots, Chocolate Factory is a five-piece reggae band from Angeles City, Pampanga.

The reggae group has managed to win the hearts of the people and continually soar high to reach its goal of becoming one of the best musicians in the country.
The action-packed official music video of “Paglipad” is made by Arcade Film Factory and directed by SuperBayani.
