MANILA, Philippines — Rock icon Ely Buendia teased his fans that a possible reunion with his ‘90s band Eraserheads could happen if Vice President Leni Robredo would announce her candidacy for the upcoming 2022 national polls.
In a Tweet earlier today for his Twitter question and answer with fans, Ely was asked by @jaydemaps: “May pag asa pa po kaya [magkaroon] ng Eheads reunion?”
Buendia then retweeted the question with the reply, “'Pag tumakbo si Leni."
The reply has over 16,000 likes as of this writing.

In another post, Buendia said the reunion is also possible “Pag nag reunion 4 of spades,” meaning, that is, if another popular Filipino rock band, IV of Spades, reunites first.

In a latter tweet, however, Ely clarified that his political stance does not echo that of his E-heads bandmates.
“DISCLAIMER: MY POLITICAL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN AND I DO NOT REPRESENT THE VIEWS OF THE ERASERHEADS’ MEMBERS,” he said.
