CLARK FIELD, PAMPANGA – At around 10:30 in the evening on Saturday, February 22, a part of the expansive open grounds that is the Global Gateway Logistics City became a huge block party, thanks to the pulsating beats of American DJ Kaskade.
Kaskade, real name Ryan Raddon, is the headlining act of Day One of the 7107 International Music Festival in Clark, Pampanga.

The DJ didn’t perform his biggest hit, at least in the country (the 2003 electronic dance song “It’s You, It’s Meâ€) but he performed his 2013 song “Atmosphere" and his remix of Lana Del Rey’s “Young and Beautiful†and Martin Garrix’s “Animals,†among many others, to the delight of his fans.
He performed for 90 minutes — the day’s longest performance.
Kaskade wasn’t the only Electronic Dance Music artist who performed at the music festival on Saturday — DJ Riddler, Reid Stefan, and Alvaro preceded his act. All four — and, for that matter, all foreign acts on that day — performed at the 7107 main stage. Among the notable acts at the second stage (where the local bands performed) include Taken By Cars and Kjwan.
Day One of 7107 ended with a fireworks display — a fitting end to Kaskade’s light and sound display.

The crowd was sparse during the festival’s first hours, but concertgoers slowly filled the open grounds as the day went on.
Day Two of the music festival on Sunday, February 23, is expected to attract a bigger crowd as it is touted to be highly anticipated with the performance of music festival’s big three acts: Kendrick Lamar, Empire of the Sun and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Local artists who perform on Day Two include Abra and Loonie, Up Dharma Down, Itchyworms, Spongecola and Radioactive Sago Project, among others.
