MANILA, Philippines - YouTube, the biggest video-sharing site, revealed Psy's "Gentleman M/V" was the top trending music video in the Philippines in 2013, followed by Katy Perry's "Roar" and local artist Basilyo's "Lord Patawad."
The release of the Google-owned company is part of the site's Rewind 2013 project where it enumerates videos that made the rounds online globally and nationally.
"Lord Patawad," a local hit in the airwaves, bested fourth placer "Just Give Me A Reason" by P!nk and Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" in the fifth place in the trending list over the past year.
Jireh Lim, a Filipino musician who made a mark in YouTube, saw two of his videos on the site's year-end trending list. Lim's "Magkabilang Mundo" and "BUKO" placed sixth and eighth in the list, respectively. Dove Real Beauty Sketches, an advertising campaign promoting genuine beauty among women, made it seventh on the list.
"Nasa Iyo Na Ang Lahat" by teen actor and musician Daniel Padilla landed on the ninth place, while Korean dance group WaveYa's rendition of Psy's Gentlemen topped off the list at tenth spot.
