MANILA, Philippines — Universal Pictures released the first trailer for "Jurassic World Rebirth," the seventh film in the "Jurassic Park" franchise featuring newcomers Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey.

The trailer begins with Big Pharma representative Martin Krebs (Rupert Friend) introducing Johannson's Zora Bennett to Bailey's Dr. Henry Loomis, a paleontologist.

Krebs is pitching a mission to obtain the DNA of the three biggest dinosaurs for a miracle drug, and these creatures can be found in the island research facility for the original Jurassic Park, inhabited by the worst of the worst that were left behind.

Bennett, a covert operations expert, is tasked with leading a team to the island. "I can guarantee your safety... I mean, more or less," she tells a perplexed Loomis.

Also in the cast is two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali as Bennett's trusted colleague Duncan Kincaid who is described as "the best at moving things and people in and out places they shouldn't be."

Kincaid points out that not even governments patrol the island because no one would be brave or stupid enough to consider approaching it.

Action clips show the mission is far difficult than expected, especially with new dinosaurs popping up from the wild as well as familiar species like Velociraptors, Tyrannosaurus Rex, and Dilophosaurus.

"We put ourselves in a place we don't belong, survival is a long shot," Loomis says before a thrilling boat sequence leads to the title card and the iconic "Jurassic" theme.

The new movie is helmed by "Godzilla" and "Rogue One" director Gareth Edwards on a script by the original film's writer David Koepp.
