MANILA, Philippines — Marvel Studios released its first official teaser for "The Fantastic Four: First Steps," setting the stage for the arrival of Marvel's First Family in the still-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The teaser begins with Vanessa Kirby and Pedro Pascal as Sue Storm and Reed Richards giving a tour of the retro-futuristic Baxter Building, home base of the Fantastic Four.

An expansion of the aspect ratio then introduces Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, already transformed to The Thing, in the kitchen with the group's robot companion H.E.R.B.I.E (a subtle reference to the actor's role in "The Bear").
Clips show Reed recalling the group's trip to space that resulted in an accident that gave them powers — Sue being able to turn invisible and project force fields, her brother Johnny (Joseph Quinn) becoming the Human Torch, Ben as the rocky The Thing, and Reed as the elastic Mister Fantastic.
"Ben has always been a rock, Johnny is Johnny, and I am right here," Sue tells Reed. "Whatever life throws at us, we will face it together as a family."
Capping off the trailer are glimpses of Ralph Ineson's Galactus, John Malkovich's mysterious character, and a hero shot of the Fantastic Four before the title card.
Also appearing in the film are Paul Walter Hauser, Natasha Lyonne, Sarah Niles, and Julia Garner as the Shalla-Bal version of the Silver Surfer.
This is the third attempt at bringing the Fantastic Four to the big screen but a first in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Disney acquired Fox, which originally owned the rights to the characters.
