'Ant-Man 3' trailer, poster teases Marvel's next big baddie Kang the Conqueror
MANILA, Philippines — Marvel has released the first official trailer for "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania," teasing further the possibilities and repercussions of tapping into the multiverse.
The trailer opens with clips of Paul Rudd's Scott Lang being praised for going from ex-convict to Avenger, though a barista mistakenly calls him Spider-Man instead of Ant-Man.
Scott's daughter Cassie, grown up and now played by Kathryn Newton, shows off a device that taps into the quantum realm, much to the alarm of Michelle Pfeiffer's Janet Van Dyne who had spent years there as seen in the previous "Ant-Man" film.
The device sucks Scott, Cassie, Janet, Michael Douglas' Hank and Evangeline Lily's Hope into the quantum realm where Janet reveals to them a universe exists, though she fears something more than the place she was once trapped in.

The trailer plays over a techno version of Elton John's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" as clips of the quantum realm, Bill Murray's character, and Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror zip by.
Marvel released a poster that shows a humongous Kang raising his hand as the titular characters stand on the future villain's middle finger.
Majors had previously played an alternate version of Kang named He Who Remains in the "Loki" series, whose death and other multiversal events trigger what the Marvel Cinematic Universe now explores in Phases 4 to 6 of its Multiverse Saga.
"Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" officially starts Phase 5 after the fourth phase concludes with "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," again under the direction of Peyton Reed.
The third "Ant-Man" film hits theaters in February 2023. — Video from Marvel Entertainment YouTube channel
