MANILA, Philippines — FOTON Motor Philippines, Inc. continues its partnership with the Philippine Athletics Track and Field Association (PATAFA) by having the 16-seater FOTON Traveller van as the organization’s official service vehicle. The unit turnover ceremony was held last May 7 at the PhilSports Complex in Pasig City.

Since 2015, FOTON Philippines has been showing its commitment to PATAFA in making their activities possible. “We’re passionate about serving local organizations that give opportunities to hone the skills of our fellow Filipinos like PATAFA. We are extending our assistance to create tangible, solutions that address mobility challenges through our vehicles.” said FOTON Philippines president Rommel Sytin.

“We are very grateful, we are very happy with this kind gesture. This will help transport the athletes to their training.” said PATAFA president Philip Juico.

The Traveller is set to bring the track and field athletes competing for the national team to their training facilities in preparation for the Thailand Open this week and coming events like the Malaysian Open, Taiwan Open, and the Philippine National Open in Isabela later this month.

The FOTON Traveller is powered by an ISF 2.8L four-cylinder turbo-charged Cummins diesel engine. This is one of the brand’s best-selling passenger vehicles due to its perceptible wide and spacious interiors that make it a comfortable people hauler.

Sytin noted, “We’re not just about vehicles — we also want to promote our welfare in fulfilling our social responsibilities to find better ways to move people.”
