P152 milyong pekeng tsinelas nakumpiska ng CIDG

MANILA, Philippines — Nasamsam ng mga tauhan ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) ang nasa P152 milyong halaga ng mga pekeng tsinelas sa lalawigan ng Pampanga nitong Sabado.

Sa bisa ng search warrant, pinasok ng CIDG Pampanga Field Unit kasama ang local police ang isang kompanya na pinamamahalaan ng isang Chinese national na nakilalang si “Chongjian,” sa Apexel, Global Aseana Park , San Simon town.

Subalit bigo ang mga awtoridad na madatnan ang Chinese.

Lumilitaw na ang search warrant ay inisyu ng Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 24 dahil sa paglabag sa Intellectual Property Code.

Umaabot naman sa higit na 45,000 pares ng pekeng mga tsinelas na may trademark na “Crocs,” molding plates, raw materials, machinery, sales invoices at order slips ang kinum­piska.

Ang operasyon ay alinsunod sa kautusan ni Philippine National Police chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil na sugpuin ang panloloko economic sabotage partikular ang smuggling.

“This operation de­monstrates our unwavering commitment to uphold the rule of law and protect the interests of businesses and consu­mers. Counterfeit goods not only undermine legitimate enterprises but also pose significant risks to public safety,” ani Marbil.
