MANILA, Philippines -- It will be a star-studded Uratex Dream that will compete in the inaugural Half Court 3x3 tournament this weekend.

Gilas Pilipinas women mainstays Kaye Pingol and Afril Bernardino will spearheaded the Dream in the 3x3 tournament that will be held in Okada Manila.

Sam Harada and Eunique Chan, who likewise represented the national team, complete the four-woman roster.

“We’re excited to have Kaye and Afril on one team. They’ve already proven themselves in their own right and we couldn’t wait to see them share the court together,” Uratex Dream team owner Peachy Medina said.

Dream is placed in Group A with Relentless and New Waves.

Uratex Tibay, meanwhile, will have a lot on its plate as it is placed in Group B with Gilas Pilipinas and Orca Builders.

Tibay will be made up of Cecilia Junsay, Ford Grajales, Justine Domingo and Jel Jajurie.

Gilas will parade a loaded team comprised of Hazelle Yam, Mikka Cacho, Jhazmine Joson and Alyssa Villamor in this tournament organized by decorated coach Mau Belen.

On Saturday, teams will play in a single-round robin group stage, with the top team from each group earning an automatic semifinal berth.

The second and third-placed teams will face off in a crossover semifinals for the last two semis seats in the knockout phase set on Sunday.

Over in the men’s side, Group A will be composed of Taho Story 3x3, Reform, Maldor Builders and Sydney 6ixers.

Group B, for its part, will have MNL Kingpin, LOP Arrovena, Fumes and Vapors 3x3 and Sigla 3x3.
