State of the art lab ng BI inilunsad

MANILA, Philippines — Inilunsad ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang kanilang state of the art na Document Examination Laboratory sa Davao International Airport (DIA).

Pinangunahan ni Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco ang paglulunsad noong Marso 21, 2024. Dinaluhan ito ni Kalihim Leo Tereso Magno, Presidential Assistant para sa Eastern Mindanao at iba pang pangunahing opisyal ng paliparan at embahada na nakabase sa rehiyon.

Ang bagong forensic document laboratory ng Anti-Fraud Section (AFS) ng BI ay nilagyan ng mga advanced na tool, kabilang ang Video Spectral Comparator, forensic document microscope, at Retro Check.

“These cutting-edge equipment enable us to conduct comprehensive forensic document examinations, enhancing the bureau’s capability to detect and deter the use of counterfeit documents in border security processes,” ani Tansingco

Mahalaga aniya,  ang hi-tech na equipment na ito sa pagpapalakas ng border security measures sa southern region, dahil sa kakayahang magsuri ng mga dokumento sa mikroskopikong antas, na makakapagtukoy ng security features at iregularidad.

Nasa laboratoryo rin ang mga makinarya para sa inspeksyon ng ultraviolet at infrared light.
