Caloocan City Police District itinutulak, mahihiwalay sa NPD

MANILA, Philippines — Naniniwala si Caloocan City Police chief PCol. Ruben Lacuesta na maaprubahan na sa lalong madaling panahon ang pagkakaroon ng Caloocan City Police District (CPD) na layong mas maserbisyuhan at maprotektahan ang mga residente ng lungsod.

Ayon kay Lacuesta, matagal nang naisumite ng Philippine National Police (PNP) at ng  National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) sa National Police Commission (Napolcom) ang panukala. Hinihintay na lamang aniya ang ‘go signal’ ng Napolcom.

Sakaling maaprubahan ng Napolcom, nangangahulugan na magiging anim na ang police districts sa Kalakhang Maynila.

Mahihiwalay na rin ang Caloocan Police sa Northern Police District (NPD) na sumasakop din sa Malabon, Navotas at Valenzuela City.

Sa ngayon, sakop ng NCRPO ang  Manila Police District, Quezon City Police District, Southern Police District (SPD), Eastern Police District (EPD) at NPD (CAMANAVA).

Kasabay nito, nakatakdang itayo nina Caloocan District 1 Rep. Oscar ‘Oca’ Malapitan at Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan ang makabagong 4-storey building na police headquarters at  three-story building  ng fire headquarters.

Nabatid na gigibain ang mga lumang gusali at police headquarters para sa bagong konstruksiyon.
