Quezon City contact tracers, brgy. response teams, ibang frontliners nabakunahan na

MANILA, Philippines — Makaraan ang isang taong pakikipaglaban sa COVID-19, may kabu­uang  1,770 private sector health professionals, contact tracers, barangay healthcare workers, at iba pang  frontliners  ang naturukan na ng unang dose ng bakuna.

Ang naibigay na CoronaVac at AstraZeneca vaccines sa mga miyembro ng Quezon City Epidemio-logy and Surveillance Di-sease Unit (CESU), Bara-ngay Health Emergen­cy Response Teams (BHERTS), at piling tauhan ng QC Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) ay donasyon mula sa national government.

“To get our frontliners vaccinated is an achievement since this will provide them protection especially in the performance of their duties. It is our responsibili­ty to make sure that all of our healthcare workers inclu-ding our support teams are safe from the virus,” pahayag ni Mayor Joy Belmonte.

Target ng lokal na pamahalaan na mabakunahan ang mahigit 6,000 frontliners kasama na ang mga health workers sa public at private clinics, diagnostic laboratories, at mga nasa home-for-the-aged and rehabilitation centers.

Nagpabakuna na rin si CESU Head Dr. Rolly Cruz para maipakita kung paano nakatulong ang bakuna sa pagpapataas ng morale ng mamamayan.

Ayon kay QC Task Force Vax to Normal Co-chair Joseph Juico na ang lahat ng mga empleyado at healthcare workers na kasama sa master list ng tatlong local government hospitals ay nabigyan na ng unang dose ng CoronaVac at AstraZeneca vaccine.

Habang hinihintay ng lokal na pamahalaan ang kanilang order na AstraZe-neca at iba pang vaccine donations, handa na ang QC go­vernment sa mga vaccination sites at patuloy ang ugnayan sa ibang vaccine manufacturers para sa dagdag na supplies.
