300 HPG operatives isasabak vs kolorum

MANILA, Philippines — Tatlongdaan (300) PNP-Highway Patrol Group (HPG) operatives ang idedeploy sa Metro Manila at mga karatig lalawigan upang tumulong sa Inter–Agency Council on Traffic (I-ACT) kaugnay ng puspusang crackdown operation  sa mga colorum na behikulo.

 Ito’y matapos na lumag­da kahapon sa kasunduan sina Department of Transportation (DoTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade at Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo Año na nag-aatas sa PNP-HPG bilang enforcement arm ng nasabing mga ahensya.

Ang PNP-HPG ay inatasang mag-implementa ng mga panuntunan at regulasyon sa batas trapiko sa Metro Manila sa mga karatig na lugar.

 “I am pleased to announce the signing of Memorandum of Agreement by and between the PNP, Department of Transportation, MMDA, Metro Manila Council, LTO, LTFRB and Coast Guard to further strengthen the enforcement capabilities of the Inter-Agency Council for traffic or I-ACT, through the support of the Department of Interior and Local Government,”  pahayag ni PNP Chief Police General Oscar Albayalde.

Sinabi naman ni PNP-HPG Direcror Police Brigadier Ge­neral Roberto Fajardo  ang 300 PNP-HPG operatives ay idedeploy sa mga istratehikong lugar sa National Capital Region (NCR) at Regional Units na magbibigay ng logistic mobility support sa mga operasyon ng I-ACT laban sa colorum vehicles.

Kaugnay nito, nagbabala naman si Fajardo na lilinisin ang mga pangunahing lansa­ngan sa Metro Manila  maging ang mga behikulong ilegal na nakaparada sa mga daan at maging ang mga namamasadang colorum vehicles.

“Ito kasi ang problema, this needs the help of the LGUs (local government units). Kasi kapag nag-operate kami with i-Act pag-alis namin nandiyan yung barangay Captain bumabalik kasi pinagkakakitaan ng LGUs”, anang opisyal.
