Garcia siad the construction of the MRT-7 will occupy one lane next to the innermost lane of the North Avenue, affecting around 41,320 commuters per day.
He said the MMDA and Quezon City government will deploy enough traffic enforcers and open alternate routes.
Motorists stuck in the traffic along North Avenue are encourage to turn left at Mindanao Avenue, right at Road 8, right at Visayas Avenue, right at Quezon Memorial Circle (QMC), then right at Commonwealth Avenue. They can also go from Mindanao Avenue right at Congressional Avenue.
From Congressional Avenue, motorists can also turn right at Luzon Avenue to Commonwealth Avenue to their destinations and vice versa.
If they are stuck along Quezon Avenue, they should turn right at QMC, right at Commonwealth Avenue to their destinations and vice versa.
For those on East Avenue, EDSA or V. Luna, turn right to QMC then right at Commonwealth Avenue and vice versa.
The first phase of the six-phase MRT-7 construction is expected to be completed in the last quarter of 2019.
