Fire breaks out in Taguig
MANILA, Philippines — An hour-long fire struck a commercial building in Taguig City, destroying at least seven stalls on Monday night.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the blaze broke out at a stall rented by cell phone technicians and immediately spread to nearby stores at the corner of Rodriguez and Luzon streets in Barangay Signal illage.
Arson probers said an explosion occurred prior to the fire.
A grocery store and several meat shops were destroyed by the blaze.
Damage to property was estimated at P100,000.
The BFP said faulty electrical wiring could hae caused the fire.
