Rider caught on CCTV shooting boy, 13

MANILA, Philippines — A man on a motorcycle was captured on closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera shooting a 13-year-old boy in Pasay City on Sunday afternoon.

Jayross Brondial, a Grade 6 student, was pronounced dead on arrival at a nearby hospital from gunshots to the head and body.

Probers have yet to establish the identity of the assailant, who was caught on CCTV footage shooting Brondial at the corner of Tramo and Inocencio streets.

Brondial’s elder brother was also shot dead earlier this year in a drug-related killing.

It is not clear if the death of the 13-year-old is connected to his brother’s death.
