MANILA, Philippines – Commuters of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) were inconvenienced anew after its operations were temporarily stopped due to a technical problem yesterday morning.
The MRT-3 reported on its website that a southbound train from the North Avenue station in Quezon City bogged down between Cubao and Santolan-Annapolis stations at 9:48 a.m.
Necessary repairs were made and the affected train was moved to the MRT’s depot in Quezon City.
Seven minutes later, another MRT train bogged down at the Santolan-Annapolis station, forcing passengers to alight and wait for the next train.
On Thursday, a northbound train unloaded its passengers due to a technical problem at the Shaw Boulevard station in Mandaluyong City.
