2 Quezon City police chiefs sacked
MANILA, Philippines - Two station commanders of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) were relieved from their posts yesterday.
Sacked were Superintendents Jeffrey Bilaro and Jerico Baldeo, commanders of the Eastwood and Novaliches police, respectively.
QCPD director Senior Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar designated Superintendent Robert Sales as Bilaro’s replacement.
Sales was former chief of the Batasan police and secretary to the QCPD’s Directorial Staff.
Bilaro was reassigned to the District Salaam Office, which is in charge of Muslim communities in the city.
Superintendent April Mark Young, former Digos City police chief, replaced Baldeo as Novaliches police commander.
Young also served as police chief of four municipalities in Davao del Norte and deputy director for operations of the Davao del Norte Police Provincial Office.
Eleazar said Baldeo would take the Officers’ Senior Executive Course, which is necessary for career advancement of police officials.
Eleazar said the appointment of the new QCPD officials was necessary in the intensified campaign against crime and illegal drugs.
