MANILA, Philippines - The bullet-riddled body of a man was found in Port Area, Manila before dawn yesterday.
The victim, who remains unidentified, bore a tattoo indicating he was a member of a jailhouse Bahala Na Gang, said homicide investigator Police Officer 3 Marlon San Pedro.
The man, described as between 20 and 25 years old and at least 5’7” tall, was found along 11th Street at around 2:30 a.m., he said, adding that the victim’s hands were bound behind his back.
Footage taken by a nearby closed-circuit television camera showed that a man approached the victim and shot him at close range.
San Pedro recovered six spent shells from a caliber .45 pistol.
