MANILA, Philippines - The Bureau of Customs has seized 252 pills of the party drug ecstasy, sent through the Parañaque post office from Germany and arrested its consignee.
In a statement issued yesterday, the BOC Enforcement Group said the parcel, with an estimated street value of P378,000, arrived last month and was misdeclared as cosmetics.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, confirmed that the pills were indeed methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), locally known as ecstasy, and arrested Jesus Galahad Rumbaua, the parcel’s registered consignee.
