Philrem head posts bail
MANILA, Philippines – Philrem Service Corp. president Salud Bautista surrendered and posted bail of P30,000 before the Sandiganbayan yesterday.
Bautista is among the four private respondents in the graft case involving the courier service deal for the delivery of drivers’ licenses.
Earlier, the anti-graft court’s Sixth Division issued warrants for the arrest of Bautista, dismissed Philippine National Police chief Alan Purisima, former PNP director Gil Meneses and 10 other police officials.
Salud was the last to post bail among the 16 respondents in the graft case filed by the Office of the Ombudsman earlier this month.
Last week, Purisima was arrested by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
